 I study quantitative aspects of landscape evolution, building understanding of the role of ice and water in shaping the landscape of Earth and Mars. I have a particular interest on the interaction between the glacial and the fluvial environment and the landscapes that derive. I use a combination of field work, remote sensing observations, and numerical models to explore ice and water dynamics and landscape evolution.  My work is in close association with Susan Conway (LPG) Kelin Whipple and Phil Christensen (ASU), Mark Jellinek (UBC), Gordon Osinksi (UWO), and Antero Kukko (Finnish Geospatial Research Institute).

I obtained my PhD by the University of British Columbia in 2018. As part of my PhD, I researched the processes that shape the landscapes of Earth and Mars with special focus on valley network formation mechanisms. I considered erosion by fluvial, glacial, subglacial and groundwater erosional regimes to improve our understanding of the formation of the Martian valley networks.

  My undergraduate degree is on physics by the University of Barcelona, and I obtained my MSc in geophysics from the same institution. In the context of my MSc, I studied the effect of particle size distributions on the average flow and electrical properties of water.
